Flowers were beautiful. Arrangement was delivered quickly. Same day delivery. Only reason I am not giving it a 5 star is the Get Well Soon balloon wasn't included. I was given a refund for the balloon. It was the little extra I wanted added to the arrangement.

Co-owner Krista is an established designer with many accomplishments and milestones in her career. Krista started as a floral clerk and worked her way up the business. With more than 20 years of experience, she has managed a total of 22 stores, including 4 at one time and had her customers following her a distance of 40 miles. After originally operating successfully for 8 years in the town of Burlington, VT, our shop closed in late 2020 as we moved out of town and had to take care of some medical business. Now in St. Augustine, Florida, we are happy to re-open! The Bloomin' Dragonfly Florist’ believes in top quality products and superior customer service. Our motto is ‘If I wouldn’t give it to my grandmother, I won’t sell it’. We believe in treating customers the way you would expect your grandmother to be treated in any retail situation. The inside of a flower stem is like a group of straws and if you cut it with scissors it crushes certain parts that lead to certain areas of the flower. Also, if at all possible try to cut flowers underwater, as the first thing that happens when you cut a flower is a sucking motion - air may be drawn into the stem, creating a pocket of air or an embolism that prevents water absorption. Flowers are shipped dry, and if the stem is not cut again, they may not be able to rehydrate adequately once arranged. Cutting the flower underwater enables the flower to absorb water and removes the risk of another embolism, which is why we always use an underwater cutter to process our flowers.
